BBI 2.0

If you’ve been patiently waiting for the second issue of Bound By Ink (BBI)  to drop then you’ll be pleased to know that it officially hits newsstands on October 1st. For the release of our second issue, the cover has even thicker paper stock (and better spot varnish), and inside we’ve got plenty of that good ‘ol photo-editorial excellence that came packed in our premiere issue.  Stay tuned for more updates and as always…..thanks for all the support.

OLD SCHOOL TATS

When I say old school, I mean old school. Research shows that one of the oldest known tatted individuals is this here preserved body named Ötzi. Ötzi is a 5,300 year old preserved Tyrolean iceman. Evidence shows that this tattoo might have been more medicinal than decorative purpose. Trip out.

Now, you know we’re not a celebrity-driven magazine but, we will chronicle and plug when necessary. Long story short, I ran into Foghorn, a buddy of mine over the weekend and he put me on game regarding his latest piece. Now, keep in mind,  I loved Nacho Libre as much as the next guy but, damn! I apologize for showing you guys possibly the whitest leg ever but, my boy Foghorn took it to a whole new level “Sometimes, you have to wear..estretchy pants…”

MACHETE X SA STUDIOS

SA Studios orchestrated a true meeting of the minds when they introduced famed and infamous Machete star Danny Trejo to world-renowned visual artist David Choe. Inspired by Danny’s iconic face, David Choe crafted original poster art based on Machete as a tribute and the results are absolutely stunning. SA Studios was on-hand to capture this unique pairing so be sure to watch the creation of David Choe’s original Machete art and all the behind the scenes. Below, you’ll also find his finalized piece for the movie Machete that was performed in collaboration with SA Studios and Mister Cartoon.
